|Goafest 2014: A South Asian advertising festival for
those who believe in the power of Advertising. It is a ‘must-attend’
event for people involved in Marketing, Advertising, Media and allied Services.
Every year about 3000 professionals get together to not just reconnect and
strengthen their friendship, but also to enjoy and learn from the various
seminars, learn from their contemporaries and celebrate advertising.
Goafest 2014 is scheduled to be held on 29th, 30th and 31st May 2014 at Grand Hyatt Goa. This year, the festival theme is ‘Brand Baaja Baaraat’. A theme that indicates that everyone will celebrate and have fun!
The focus for 2014 will be to strengthen the excellent initiatives that were launched in the previous years. In 2012, Goafest was opened to all nations in South Asia and also invited strong client participation through the Marketing Wizards initiative. This year, we intend to further expand and grow these initiatives – apart from, adding more Categories to make Goafest a true platform for everyone connected with Advertising, Media and Marketing.
For the 7th consecutive year, AAAI and The Advertising Club come together to deliver India’s premier awards that celebrate creativity at Goafest. The organizers now have an extremely robust process in place for the awards. While taking on board learnings and improvements from the past editions, they will continue to follow judicious and strict norms for the Abbys in 2014.
The Abbys will continue to be open to all who want to participate – and membership of AAAI or The Advertising Club is not required. Last year, over 225 organisations from across South Asia sent in entries. This year the number is likely to cross 250.
The Awards will be given over three nights as follows:
29th May, 2014 - Media & Publisher Abby Awards
30th May, 2014 - Design, Direct, Promo-Activation, PR, Outdoor & Ambient, Print Craft, Branded Content, Broadcaster Awards
31st May, 2014 - Digital, Radio, TV & Integrated Campaign Abby Awards
The Industry Conclave will be held on 30th May and participation in the Conclave is open to all delegates. This year, the Conclave will focus on speakers from client organizations to share their perspectives with people connected with the industry.
Goafest 2014 in its 9thedition, promises to bring an impressive list of speakers as has been the case in past years. This year will also have a few inspirational speakers to add to the variety.
Further for the young at heart, there will be many fun elements to engage in,through the day and night – like beach and adventure sports, foam and rain dance, after dinner parties etc.
